As the curtains came down on the Intersolar Europe 2011, the world's largest exhibition for the solar industry, at The New Munich Trade Fare Centre, visitors from around the world marveled at the veritable feast of the best in solar technology that was on display for the past three days.
Over 75,000 visitors and 2280 exhibitors underscored the growing importance of renewable energy, especially solar technology, in today's times.

The joint venture partners, together, attended to over 1500 visitors, from more than 45 countries, in what turned out to be the best organized and attended exhibition of its kind. A large contingent of delegates from India evinced keen interest in the solar energy solutions from Gildemeister, and concurred on the appropriateness of these solutions for the Indian industry.

The sun-tracking solar PV SunCarrier 70, and the WindCarrier, the new generation of small wind systems, launched at the event, attracted visitors interested in robust yet affordable, easy to install and maintain renewable energy systems.
The importance of large capacity energy storage for renewable energy initiatives has been realized recently, and many of the visitors were seeking energy storage solutions. The most appropriate solutions for such applications, the Cellcube FB10-100 and FB200-400, from Gildemeister Energy Solutions, were also on display.
Of special significance for India was the inauguration of the Intersolar Europe 2011 by the honorable Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Minister for New and Renewable Energy, India. Dr. Abdullah noted that international cooperation for the development of renewable energy in India and worldwide, was an appropriate symbol of the large, international exhibition like the Intersolar.
