Intersolar AWARDS 2012 at the Intersolar India, Mumbai - a curtain raiser

MUMBAI - October 8,2012 - Intersolar, the world's leading exhibition for the solar industry, will host this year's edition of Intersolar India at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai during November 5-8, 2012. With an expected participation from over 300 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors, this promises to be the largest solar industry event in India.

Intersolar AWARDS 2012 at the Intersolar India, Mumbai - a curtain raiser A new prize category, "Solar Projects in India" has been added to the Intersolar AWARD for 2012, to recognize and pay tribute to outstanding solar projects in India. SunCarrier Omega is a proud nominee for the Intersolar Award 2012, and its project "SunCarrier Omega Net-Zero Energy Building" has been selected as one of the top entries by the Intersolar AWARD 2012 expert panel in the "Solar Projects in India" category.

One of the most significant reports on sustainability, in recent times, is The Energy Report 2011, from WWF. Its premise is the possibility of near 100% renewable energy by 2050. It states that with proper energy efficiency interventions, supportive legislation and a much greater adoption of renewable sources of energy, it is possible to halt the depletion of the non-renewable energy resources without impairing the quality of life. It is in this context that the SunCarrier Omega Net-Zero Energy building attains significance. The energy conservation principles adopted, and the integrated renewable energy generation and storage solutions deployed at SunCarrier Omega, are replicable and scalable projects that could find application in industries like telecommunications, hospitality, manufacturing, and commercial and residential buildings. This model also helps democratize access to reliable and 'clean' energy to citizens deprived of the utility grid. Its contribution to preserving the earth's environment, too, is significant.

India is increasingly becoming a focus for renewable energy deployments. The attention and recognition that the Intersolar AWARD 2012 brings to such projects will add further fillip to such innovations.

Testimonials

Hamburgische Energiehandlung

After years of search, we found the partners we were looking for to establish an investment in future-oriented energies: the a+f GmbH. Our first partnership concept for the purpose of creating a closed fund contains 5 to 10 MWp in Apulia. The first parks have already been connected to the grid and deliver supreme efficient power made out of the sun "Sonnenstrom". A noteworthy pioneering achievement has been accomplished. Such demanding intentions are only feasible if the investor and the operator work together in a close and precise partnership regarding this project which is supposed to last over 20 years. These successful projects build a foundation for a decidedly promising product-line.
